Contact Allergen Replacement Database (CARD)
Created in collaboration with Mayo Clinic, CARD is the world’s most complete contact allergen database that helps people suffering from contact dermatitis avoid potential allergens and prevent allergic outbreaks.
Avoiding products that cause allergic reactions is typically difficult for people given most allergen names are long, difficult to spell, and commonly have numerous complex synonyms. Additionally, some product packages do not have a full listing of ingredients, and people often incorrectly assume that the product is therefore safe to use.
How it works:
CARD contains more than 8,000 allergens and cross-reactors combined with over 5,500 pre-screened skin care products, making CARD the world’s most complete resource for people suffering from contact dermatitis. With both mobile and web access options, CARD helps you screen skin-care products for chemicals you should avoid and gain peace of mind knowing what is or is not safe to use.
